Key Responsibilities\n

Your key responsibilities as a Licensed Professional Counselor will include:

• Maintaining a dedicated caseload of clients, establishing trust and a therapeutic alliance to facilitate effective treatment.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess their progress, address challenges, and plan for future appointments, including the potential for discharge when appropriate.

• Creating personalized, person-centered treatment plans and actively monitoring their implementation and progress.
\n
• Documenting client interactions and maintaining accurate and private records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients' backgrounds and identify their unique mental health needs.

• Engaging in individual clinical supervision sessions to enhance your practice and uphold the highest ethical standards.

• Collaborating with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including children and adults facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele often includes individuals seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological conditions. Your role will directly contribute to improving their mental health outcomes by providing empathetic support and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Connecticut with unrestricted, independent status.

• A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting.

• Proficiency in using computer systems, including spreadsheets, RMS software, and scheduling tools (such as Outlook and Pimsy).
