Security Business Development Manager

APS promotes a culture of reliability and service, encouraging clients to \"be SURE with APS.\" Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Phoenix Area. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients, and promoting APS's security services across commercial and residential markets. Daily activities include conducting outreach and sales meetings, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with operations teams to ensure solutions meet client needs. The Business Development Manager will track sales metrics, maintain an accurate pipeline, and provide regular reports and forecasts to leadership. This role also involves representing APS at industry events and local networking functions to enhance brand visibility and drive growth. Compensation Structure Base Salary: $95,000-105,000 annually Target Total Compensation: $125,000-155,000+ Commission: Uncapped, subject to profitability requirements Primary Objective: Generate profitable new recurring security business while supporting successful onboarding, client retention, and account growth. Qualifications Business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management. Account management, client relationship building, and customer service capabilities. Experience with contract negotiation, proposal development, and pricing discussions. Knowledge of security services or related industries (facility services, risk management, or protective services) is highly beneficial. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers at multiple levels. Analytical skills for market research, competitive analysis, and forecasting revenue opportunities. Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations). Ability to work on-site in the Greater Phoenix Area, travel locally to client locations, and attend events as needed. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Security Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
