Staff Accountant

The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Monroe, GA Team: Finance and Accounting Department Mission: Support the finance and accounting department by executing day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Tech Stack: ERP and manufacturing information systems, Microsoft Software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) What You’ll Actually Do Manage General Ledger: Prepare and post journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledger accounts. Support Financial Closings: Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary schedules and reports. Perform Account Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. Administer Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset schedules, record depreciation and asset disposals, and manage fixed asset inventory. Generate Financial Reports: Prepare financial statements, conduct variance analyses, and create management reports. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Experience: 1+ years of professional finance experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment. Skills: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; possesses an analytical mindset.
