Work Environment

The practice is located in a welcoming outpatient office in Hillsborough, NJ, uniquely designed to provide a comfortable space for both patients and staff. As an onsite therapist, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working directly with patients in a collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional movement patterns, range of motion, and pain levels.
• Develop detailed, individualized treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and prescribed exercises tailored to each patient's unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function, ensuring at all times to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home care routines, and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term health and injury prevention.
• Collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, and fellow therapists, to coordinate care and discuss treatment progress, ultimately ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will provide care to a diverse patient population, ranging from athletes seeking to enhance performance to elderly individuals requiring rehabilitation to regain independence. Your role will be especially impactful in guiding these patients through their rehabilitation journey, using your expertise to empower them in their recovery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and active Physical Therapy License in New Jersey is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient or orthopedic practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification for healthcare professionals.
• Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate approach, allowing effective interactions with patients and within the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing manual therapy techniques and functional movement assessments in rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation practices.
• Background in sports rehabilitation or pre/post-operative orthopedic care.
