Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility, Attendance (ERSEA) Coordinator

Position Summary: The ERSEA Coordinator provides leadership and coordination to ensure the effective delivery of ERSEA services in compliance with federal Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC), funding requirements, and agency policies. This role collaborates closely with internal departments, including Family & Community Engagement, Transportation, Health, Mental Health, Disabilities, Fiscal, and Human Resources to ensure seamless transitions for children and families. The ERSEA Coordinator supports continuous improvement efforts through ongoing monitoring, reflective supervision practices, and process management.

Knowledge of

• Head Start Program Performance Standards and applicable Department of Early Education and Care regulations
• Enrollment, recruitment, selection, eligibility, and attendance requirements and practices
• Program monitoring, data collection, reporting, documentation, and record-keeping requirements
• Community resources and referral requirements

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit, Head Start, or Early Childhood program administration required
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required
• Demonstrated experience in successful program coordination and management required
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment preferred

Additional Requirements

• Dependable transportation, including necessary automobile insurance, is required
• Maintain a current, valid driver’s license
• May require flexible hours to meet program and family needs
• Occasional travel between program sites and community partners

• Collaborative, dependable, and responsive across departments and disciplines

Skills

• Bilingual: English-Spanish preferred
• Strong organization, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to coordinate program operations, facilitate staff training, and support supervision, coaching, and performance management
• Ability to review and approve eligibility determinations, manage waitlists, and support recruitment and outreach efforts

Starting Salary: $73,881.60 annually ($2,841.60 biweekly)

Exempt Full-Time Position: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
