Business Development Manager

Role Description This full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Hesperia, CA. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and expanding AMPS Solar’s presence in target markets. Daily activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders. The role involves close coordination with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate pricing, timely project delivery, and strong customer satisfaction. The Business Development Manager also monitors market trends, analyzes competitor activity, and contributes to strategic planning and revenue forecasts. Qualifications Proven business development, sales, or account management experience, preferably in solar, renewable energy, construction, or related industries. Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and relationship building with commercial, residential, and institutional clients. Ability to develop persuasive proposals, deliver professional presentations, and negotiate contracts to successful closure. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate market opportunities, pricing, and project feasibility. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with clients and partners. Self-directed work style with strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple opportunities and deadlines. Comfort with CRM tools, basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations), and reporting on sales activities and forecasts. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Knowledge of solar or renewable energy technologies, incentives, and permitting processes is highly beneficial.
