Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, reviewing medical histories and performing detailed assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in setting achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that align with each patient's unique needs and adjust these plans as their condition evolves.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when needed, identifying and documenting significant changes in a patient's condition requiring interdisciplinary consultation.
• Manage comprehensive discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring accurate documentation of the patient's therapy course, including initial evaluations, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Efficiently manage time and productivity, maintaining an accurate schedule and punctuality, while actively participating in both clinic and community marketing initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participating in our ongoing education programs and mentoring students as a clinical instructor.
• Promote an excellent patient experience by demonstrating flexibility and adapting care infrastructures to ensure access to services.
• Actively participate in overcoming barriers to therapy access, utilizing site performance data to improve our service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Maine Physical Therapy Clinic, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those living with chronic conditions, and elderly clients needing assistance with mobility and daily activities. Your efforts play a vital role in enhancing their quality of life, ensuring that patients receive personalized and compassionate care tailored to their specific rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited institution, with a preference for a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, along with any other necessary state certifications.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or comparable training.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience is not mandatory, a minimum of two years of professional experience in outpatient physical therapy or home care settings is recommended. Experience in developing treatment protocols and working collaboratively within a healthcare team will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
