Location: Florida | Pay Range: $67,953.60 - $133,390.40 We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care and clinical operations at Florida Oncology & Hematology, a community‑based medical oncology and hematology practice. The Clinical Manager will plan, direct, and evaluate all clinical functions while providing leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team that may include nurses, medical assistants, laboratory staff, and pharmacy technicians. Job Description Summary Plans, directs, and evaluates overall clinical care and functions. Oversees the activities of the clinical areas and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the clinical team. Assesses, monitors, and educates all clinical staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Assures compliance with all job breakdown instructions (JBIs) and regulations to the assigned areas. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Key Performance Areas KPA 1 – Clinical Knowledge Maintain knowledge of oncology nursing and clinical operations. Serve as provider liaison and partner with the Office Manager to ensure patient safety, continuity of care, and smooth office flow. Communicate with outside entities to assure quality and continuity of patient care. Support and maintain knowledge of clinical trials and ECOG, and communicate with the research department. Oversee special procedures and chemotherapy treatments within the office. Handle completion of DME, insurance forms, FMLA, and disability applications. Maintain incident and adverse event reporting. Ensure completion of daily variance reports and resolution of unsigned charges. Coordinate with purchasing to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste. Collaborate with ancillary departments to ensure required annual tasks and education are completed on time. Proficient with drug preparation, including hazardous and non‑hazardous drugs, and maintain knowledge of the Nucleus medication dispensing system. Oversee ordering of medical and pharmaceutical supplies. Coordinate 24‑hour coverage for drug refrigeration temperature monitoring. Participate in monthly CNM meetings, collaborate with the R‑DON for nursing concerns, and work with Occupational Health on yearly N95 mask testing. KPA 2 – Leadership Train team members to provide quality oncology and hematology services. Manage daily direction, communication, and scheduling of clinic nurses, medical assistants, lab staff, and pharmacy technicians. Facilitate nurse staff meetings and participate in hiring processes. Coordinate orientation of new staff and ensure appropriate training and resources. Provide performance evaluations for new hires and annual reviews. Manage performance feedback, coaching, and disciplinary documentation. Approve time‑off requests and maintain staffing to support productivity. Submit timesheets to payroll for all direct reports. Hold monthly departmental staff meetings to communicate updates and issues. KPA 3 – Education and SOPs Distribute educational resources to team members. Assist in the creation and review of clinical activities and operations. Coordinate patient education classes and individual teaching sessions. Manage packet assembly for patient education materials. Ensure nursing team follows JBIs and maintain oncology nurse certification. KPA 4 – Compliance and SOPs Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures, and conduct disciplinary actions when required. KPA 5 – Communication and Customer Service Manage and communicate all clinical policy, procedure, and regulatory changes. Act as a resource for staff regarding company policies and procedures. Stay current on oncology updates, therapies, and procedures, and share them with clinical staff. Foster positive relationships with other company employees to maintain a cooperative and harmonious work environment. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Position Qualifications / Requirements Education: Unencumbered RN license in the state of employment (or multi‑state licensure), Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Certifications/Licenses: Registered Nurse license, Oncology Nurse certification (OCN) required, current CPR certification, valid state driver’s license for travel, compliance with Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy. Experience: Five (5) years in the healthcare field in a clinic or hospital setting; Three (3) years of management experience preferred.
