Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is actively seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team in Sacramento, California. Our skilled team comprises two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to the well-being of our patients and the delivery of personalized therapy solutions.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Sacramento, where collaboration and teamwork are integral to our success. Our facility is designed to foster a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients, enabling effective communication and comprehensive care. With a full-time schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, this role provides a structured work-life balance while allowing you to focus on delivering top-tier therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to identify needs, define treatment goals, and establish effective therapy plans.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized attention and high-quality care for each patient during sessions.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques to administer cost-effective treatments aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and overall quality of life.
• Formulate individualized fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet each patient's unique requirements and health objectives.
• Implement non-surgical alternatives to pain relief, effectively reducing the reliance on medication wherever possible.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies and ensure continuity of care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy journeys, fostering a positive environment that promotes commitment to rehabilitation efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions. You will be working with patients ranging from young athletes aiming to regain peak performance to older adults seeking to improve mobility and independence. Your role will be critical in assessing their unique needs and customizing treatment plans to support their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to practice as a licensed physical therapist.
• Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in California, free from any board or disciplinary actions.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and possess a strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is preferred to streamline documentation and reporting processes.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficient communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members, essential for collaboration and engagement.

Compensation and Benefits
