About the Position

A well-established women’s health practice in Richmond, Virginia is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO) for an urgent Locum to Perm opportunity . This is a time-sensitive coverage need due to a physician being on medical leave, making it an excellent opportunity for a qualified provider ready to step into a busy, collaborative clinical environment.

The role combines outpatient clinic care with inpatient call coverage , providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services in a modern practice setting. Providers will work alongside experienced physicians, midwives, and dedicated clinical staff, ensuring strong support and continuity of patient care.

The schedule includes weekday clinic hours with 24-hour call coverage and shared weekend call , allowing providers to manage both routine and complex OB/GYN cases while benefiting from a structured and efficient workflow.

This position offers the chance to join a team-oriented practice with advanced clinical resources , a strong patient base, and the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of submission
• Ability to manage both obstetric and gynecologic cases in clinic and hospital settings
