Area Field Manager

Job Overview As an Area Field Manager, you will promote the U‑Haul brand, educate independent business partners, and expand the U‑Haul dealer network across your designated route. The role involves prospecting new dealerships, managing relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. Primary Responsibilities Prospect, open, and grow U‑Haul dealership organizations within your designated route. Develop and manage business relationships with small‑business owners, providing professional insight into local markets and training opportunities for dealers. Analyze route profit‑and‑loss to grow the route through strategic transactions and service offerings. Service and maintain U‑Haul equipment and displays to ensure operational excellence and marketability. Support staff to achieve dealership success, coordinating resources and improving efficiency. Operate a properly stocked and maintained U‑Haul service vehicle; perform minor maintenance and arrange recovery of lost or broken equipment. Participate in continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University. Maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record for operating commercial motor vehicles. Obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner. Minimum Requirements Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record for commercial vehicles. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. health certificate from a federally registered medical examiner. Protective clothing or gear—including masks, goggles, gloves, or shields—may be required. Physical Demands The job requires long periods both indoors and outdoors, remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted).
