Work Environment

Your primary work setting will be in patients' homes, where you will deliver personalized therapy services tailored to their unique needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, leading to the development of customized treatment plans that align with physicians' directives.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, focusing specifically on orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to therapeutic goals.
• Engage with patients and their caregivers, providing education on techniques to enhance recovery and improve functional abilities.
• Document patient interactions and progress in our digital health records system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and improving care coordination.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote holistic approaches to recovery, contributing to discussions on best practices and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience treating a diverse patient demographic, including young athletes, post-operative individuals, and seniors with chronic pain or mobility issues. Our focus is primarily on orthopedic conditions, but you'll also have opportunities to engage with pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine patients. Your ability to connect with individuals at various life stages will be pivotal in fostering trust and encouraging active participation in their recovery.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating a solid understanding of common musculoskeletal disorders.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a home health care setting, providing therapy services in patients' residences.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and enhance data management capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits
