Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in the clients' homes or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, using evidence-based practices to engage clients effectively.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address specific emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
\n
• Facilitate anger management classes and social skills training to help clients develop constructive coping mechanisms and reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
\n
• Support youth in enhancing decision-making skills that empower them and their caregivers to manage in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to create cohesive and comprehensive treatment strategies.
\n
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation of all clinical interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with organizational and regulatory standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing recommendations and insights to improve our programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse group of children and adolescents aged 3-20 years, many of whom experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds and work closely with their families to create a supportive therapeutic alliance that fosters trust and effective communication.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours a week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM); weekend hours may be a plus.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in providing positive behavior support methods.
\n
• Willingness and ability to adhere to organizational policies and state regulations.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents, specifically those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
\n
• Background in utilizing therapeutic interventions tailored for high-risk youth populations.
\n
• Competency in bilingual therapy (Spanish or Portuguese) is highly valued.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
