Employee Benefits Account Manager

RSC Insurance Brokerage, Inc.

Overview The Mid-Market Account Manager manages an assigned book of business while building long‑term client relationships. The role is responsible for responding to day‑to‑day client inquiries, providing analytics, and ensuring high‑quality service delivery. Responsibilities Act as a subject matter expert on health and welfare benefits, vendor/carrier products (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary). Manage a personal book of business of approximately $500,000+. Support Team Leader and/or Account Executive(s) as assigned. Proactively provide client service, respond to day‑to‑day service issues and questions, andescalate when necessary. Seek improvements to client service and efficiencies, identifying improved processes. Work with the client team to develop project plans and deliver on service goals. Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, accurate processing of account transactions. Prepare and coordinate compliance documents. Delegate marketing and implementation tasks to team as needed and provide coaching and peer review. Stay informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverage and technology. Prepare for and facilitate client meetings (agendas, materials, resources). Understand, articulate, and implement RS value‑added resources. Update client information in a timely manner in appropriate software (BenefitPoint, AMS, etc.). Provide peer review for others on team. Qualifications BA/BS preferred. Florida Health & Welfare License required. 2–5+ years of health & welfare experience with demonstrated core competencies. Client‑facing experience in the employee benefits industry preferred. Knowledge of benefits administration, Health Care Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services. Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs.
