Details Work in an academic Level I/II trauma teaching hospital setting Assigned to both an IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and an IMC Thoracic unit Patient population includes telemetry oncology, cardiac, ventilator, and post-transplant cases Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am Monday through Friday schedule with every other weekend required Some holiday coverage required Floating required as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required Trauma Level I and Level II experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Telemetry, cardiac, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, ventilator, and transplant experience required Epic EMR experience required Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to starting, with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification Additional Information Provide advanced cardiac and telemetry monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of Rapid Response/Code teams Perform IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration Manage ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management Provide post-transplant patient care Care for oncology, cardiac, and stepdown patients requiring close monitoring Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted Parking permit required if parking onsite, though alternative transportation options are available Facility is a Magnet-designated hospital ranked as Wisconsin's 1 hospital American Traveler Job ID P-743641.
