Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians, establishing a tailored treatment program.
• Implement diverse treatment methods focused on orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and sports medicine specialties.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and their families.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based care.
• Deliver in-home therapeutic services, employing advanced techniques to foster positive changes in function and condition per the physician's care plan.
• Educate and train patients and caregivers, empowering them with knowledge and strategies for continued progress.
• Achieve minimum productivity goals and contribute to organizational objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on pediatric patients, ranging from infants to adolescents, who require specialized physical therapy for various conditions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with children dealing with developmental delays, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and sports-related issues. Each interaction aims to create a supportive framework that fosters both recovery and resilience in our young patients and instills confidence in their families.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy required to practice in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate patient needs effectively.
• Proficient in technology, including word processing and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with patients and families, fostering trust and support.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in pediatric physical therapy and an eagerness to work closely with children in diverse settings. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies and a strong commitment to continuous learning and development will be beneficial in this role. Candidates who have experience working in home health settings will have an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
