Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery within the rehabilitation facility, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and challenges.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as exercise progression, manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and assistive devices tailored specifically for each patient.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress accurately and routinely to maintain compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Reassess and adjust treatment goals and plans as required to ensure the highest standard of care and to promote optimal functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to ensure seamless patient care and to formulate multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
• Guide patients and their families in the use of assistive devices, providing training and support that empowers them to engage actively in their recovery process.
• Engage in regular professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and continued education courses to enhance clinical skills and stay informed of industry trends.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Ortho Check, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain issues. Each patient is unique, and you will play a crucial role in tailoring treatment approaches that not only address their physical limitations but also enhance their overall functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and utilizing electronic health records system.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years' experience is required, candidates with prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation or specialized settings will be preferred. Compensation and Benefits
