Project Specialist

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

1. Assists ALL departments in carrying out project management plan.
2. Effectively communicates with Director team to ensure successful and timely project completion.
3. Upholds catalog and institutional policies during project implementation.
4. Participates in activities that promote the School of EMS, to include student recruiting, student services, and program marketing events, as appropriate.
5. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience:
  • Prior work experience in administrative setting is preferred.
  • Functional computer literacy is required.
  • Functional working knowledge of Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
  • Prior experience working in an educational setting (preferably in the office or Registrar and or Bursar) is preferred.
  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• State driver's license required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Language Ability: Must exhibit the ability to read, analyze, and interpret education-related material. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures as they relate to teaching certain topics within the EMS curriculum.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different formats. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in the use of audio-visual equipment.
