Litigation Assistant

HERS Advisors has partnered with a leading business law firm in Orange County (hybrid) who is looking for an eager Litigation Assistant to join their successful team. Responsibilities for Litigation Assistant: Assistantto Litigation Department: Perform general case management Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda File court documents Identify and submit legal documents for docketing, court and case deadlines using firm software Management of ongoing assigned court and case deadlines Assist attorneys with reviewing, organizing, and summarizing case materials, mail, and other case related documents Assist in preparation of matrices, charts, and spreadsheets as needed Assist in preparation of privilege log Create, revise, and proofread documents with high accuracy Assist with mediation and trial preparation Keep accurate time records for billable tasks Requirements for Litigation Assistant: Prior litigation experience as a legal secretary and/or junior paralegal required Undergraduate degree and/or ABA approved paralegal certificate highly preferred Ability to become proficient in state and federal court filings Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint) Ability to learn and utilize document management firm software to include Microsoft Salary range: 70-100k.
