Remote Accounting Specialist

About the Position

Nugent Supply Co. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Remote Accounting Specialist to support our day-to-day accounting and administrative operations.

This position is ideal for an organized professional who is comfortable working independently, handling financial information accurately, maintaining records, and communicating with customers, vendors, and internal team members.

The successful candidate will help maintain accurate accounting records and provide timely support with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, and general accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.


• Process and review invoices, bills, and payment documentation.


• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.


• Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding balances.


• Record and reconcile financial transactions.


• Review account information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.


• Assist with monthly account and bank reconciliations.


• Maintain organized digital accounting files and documentation.


• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions.


• Assist with expense tracking and transaction documentation.


• Prepare basic accounting reports and summaries.


• Protect confidential financial and business information.


• Work closely with management and other team members to resolve accounting issues.


• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Comfortable working with numbers and financial records.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills.


• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.


• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Salary/Compensation: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
