To support insurance authorization processes, the full-time Documentation Specialist will secure, review, and validate medical documentation while maintaining communication with healthcare providers and clients in a professional office or HIPAA-compliant home office environment. Key responsibilities Coordinates with medical providers to gather necessary documentation, adhering to payer guidelines and timelines Acts as a liaison by maintaining contact with referral sources and clients to resolve missing or incomplete records Conducts reviews of medical files to ensure policy compliance and validates information for electronic medical records Required qualifications 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, Complex Rehab Technology, Medical Billing, or Funding preferred Knowledge of medical coding principles, including ICD-10, HCPCS, Modifiers, and NCCI edits Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) High school diploma or equivalent required
