Thriving Journey Therapy, PLLC is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Oviedo, Florida. This is a full-time, onsite position where you will make a significant impact on the lives of patients through your expertise in orthopedic care. Work Environment

Your role will primarily involve delivering care directly to patients in a home care setting, allowing you to work closely with individuals in their natural environment. This dynamic setting promotes comfort and encourages personal connection, enabling tailored treatment approaches. Your work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing you a consistent schedule to balance professional and personal life effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and restore maximum functionality.
• Evaluate each client's level of function through detailed assessments using diagnostic techniques related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Administer and coach patients through manual therapeutic exercises while also guiding them in non-manual exercises and functional activities that enhance their mobility.
• Utilize various physical agents: traction, massage, and other therapeutic modalities to aid in pain relief and recovery.
• Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, offering recommendations for adjustments to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, or injury rehabilitation. Your expertise will cater to a diverse demographic, focusing on creating personalized care plans that meet each client's unique needs and goals, fostering their independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• Active State licensure as a Physical Therapist is required.
• A Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is necessary.
• At least two years of professional experience in orthopedic, geriatric, acute care, or outpatient settings.
• Proficient in orthopedic assessment techniques, treatment methodologies, and proactive patient care planning.
• Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems to document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.

Preferred Experience

Experience with targeted therapeutic techniques in home care environments is strongly preferred, as this role may require adaptability to different home settings and the ability to motivate patients in less structured environments.

Compensation and Benefits
