Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Associate to provide temporary coverage for two employees who will be out on leave. This is an immediate opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong AR experience who can quickly step into a fast-paced environment.
Accounts Receivable Associate (Temporary – 8–12 Week Assignment)Location: Wallingford, CT
Pay: $25–$28/hour (based on experience)
Duration: 8–12 Weeks (Leave of Absence Coverage) Responsibilities
- Distribute invoices and credit memos daily via email and customer portals.
- Process monthly customer statements.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, credit memos, and billing questions.
- Maintain customer billing instructions and account information.
- Verify new customer accounts by phone.
- Contact customers regarding past-due balances through phone and email.
- Assist with customer account maintenance, including electronic file creation, credit line management, and aged receivable reporting.
- Process credit card payments through customer portals and maintain e-wallet information.
- Provide backup support for daily cash receipts processing as needed.
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a government-regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take initiative.
- Must have reliable transportation and live within approximately 30 minutes of Wallingford, CT.
