Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including detailed patient histories, physical assessments, and diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to explain initial evaluations and tailor treatment goals that incorporate their needs and expectations.
• Implement and monitor customized treatment protocols utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapy techniques to enhance patient recovery and address musculoskeletal issues.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient treatments and progress, ensuring compliance with organizational practices and healthcare regulations.
• Participate in interprofessional team meetings to discuss treatment progress and collaborate on comprehensive patient care approaches.
• Develop educational materials for patients and families to promote healthy lifestyle choices and understanding of their conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals seeking care for chronic pain, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and issues related to scoliosis. Our interdisciplinary approach allows us to cater to patients of all ages, ensuring that comprehensive care plans address not just physical rehabilitation, but also educate patients on preventative measures for long-term health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with patients and collaborate with peers.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, particularly with patients experiencing musculoskeletal disorders and spinal conditions.

• Previous experience working within a chiropractic clinic or integrated health setting is advantageous.
