Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Harrisonburg, VA. The facility is designed to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our team works closely together, sharing insights and supporting one another, all while maintaining a strong focus on best practices in physical therapy. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and develop tailored treatment plans, utilizing a variety of therapeutic methods including exercise regimens, hands-on therapy, and advanced therapeutic equipment.
• Implement treatment sessions designed to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and promote recovery.
• Continuously monitor patient progress by documenting treatments and outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and the implementation of home exercise programs to support recovery outside the clinic.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and seminars to stay current with industry standards and innovations.

Qualifications

• Valid Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience preferred, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to maintain patient documentation and treatment logs.
• Adaptability and the ability to respond to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, we also welcome applications from recent graduates who are passionate about Physical Therapy and eager to learn. Experience in treating a varied patient demographic and familiarity with electronic medical records would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
