Project Coordinator – Construction

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support a fast-paced construction project team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administrative/project support experience who wants to build a career in construction project management .

You’ll work directly with project management supporting documentation, subcontractors, bidding, RFIs, change documentation, compliance, reporting, and other activities throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Support Project Managers throughout the full construction project lifecycle.
• Organize, process, track, and maintain project documentation.
• Assist with the bidding and subcontractor award process , including bid invitations, specifications, communications, subcontract documentation, and required compliance information.
• Create, distribute, and track RFIs, potential change items, change orders, submittals, and other project documents .
• Maintain project information in dashboards and construction management systems.
• Process and track pay applications, compliance documentation, bills of sale, lien waivers, insurance certificates, bonds, affidavits, and related documents.
• Follow up with subcontractors and internal teams to obtain required documentation and keep project activities moving.
• Prepare correspondence, emails, meeting notes, reports, and other project communications.
• Maintain accurate electronic project files and documentation.
• Communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide additional administrative and coordination support to the project team as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, or clerical support experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable learning new software, project management systems, and processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of construction project support experience.
• Experience supporting Project Managers, Construction Managers, or Superintendents.
• Familiarity with construction documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, lien waivers, and subcontractor documentation .
• Experience with construction management/document control software.
• Familiarity with CMiC or similar construction management platforms.

Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office/project environment with frequent computer use. Project needs may occasionally require non-traditional hours, travel, or exposure to active construction-site conditions.
