Qualifications & Skills Certification by ARRT-R with advanced certification in ARRT-VI, CI, or CV. For Cardiology: graduation from an accredited cardiovascular program or ARRT certification with RCIS credentials. ACLS certification within 6 months of hire; PALS certification on some campuses. Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, ability to educate others, and commitment to safety and quality care. Key Duties Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, verify clinical history, and ensure confidentiality. Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and minimize radiation exposure. Prepare/administer medications, evaluate image quality, and ensure data storage. Assist with or perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintain intra-arterial access, and monitor patient status. Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment, record data, and follow sterile techniques. Participate in physiological monitoring, manual hemostasis, and emergency protocols.
