About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead the architectural and development standards of its healthcare IT platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the architecture across affiliated business units, defining and enforcing AI-native development standards, and making high-conviction technology decisions. This role requires a hands-on engineering leader with a proven track record, including daily, fluent use of agentic AI coding tools, and a background in B2B software. The VP of Engineering will also be tasked with establishing lean engineering practices, leading and mentoring a team of early-career engineers, and scaling the engineering organization as the company grows. Applicants for the VP of Engineering position at the company should have a strong background in Microsoft Azure, cloud-native architecture, and modern DevOps practices. Experience in managed care, payer, or PBM environments, as well as familiarity with medical-benefit drug economics, claims data, or value-based contracts, is preferred. The role demands a leader who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, can make decisions with incomplete information, and has strong communication skills to interact with both technical teams and executive leadership. The VP of Engineering will also be expected to partner with executive leadership to ensure that the systems meet HIPAA and SOC2 requirements by design.
