LDAF's Structural Pest Control Division is responsible for issuing certifications and licenses to individuals, permits to businesses, and administering examinations in the following phases of structural pest control: general pest control, commercial vertebrate control, termite control, structural fumigation, commodity fumigation, and ship fumigation. Supervision for this position is received from an unclassified Director.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Review and process technician testing applications in a timely manner to ensure all information meets the requirements of Structural Pest Control rules and regulations, and necessary fees are accurately paid.
- Create structural technician profiles in USAPlants system and connect to correct permitted business. Maintain and update technicians in the testing database (ProProfs).
- Notify district offices of technicians that can be scheduled for testing. Mail/email exam scores to businesses for those technicians that have failed the technician exam. Print technician cards and letters upon passing and mail to the business address.
- Routinely run reports to monitor technicians without passing scores. Provide notification to business/licensees of those technicians close to or outside of allowable timeframe for testing.
- Properly file all documents related to technician applications and terminations and maintain according to retention policy.
- Monitor Monthly Reporting which consists of 80,000 termite control contracts annually. Ensure mailed in Monthly Reports are accurately scanned onto shared drive to allow district offices access to the reports.
- Monitor and track permitted businesses that perform structural pest control work and if they have submitted monthly reports to the department. Provide necessary information to Director and Assistant Director of companies not in compliance.
- Assist department auditors with annual audits of monthly reports received as necessary.
- Provides backup support for the administrative coordinator 3 responsible for processing Commercial Applicator & Private Applicator recertification & renewals and Structural Licensee & Technician recertifications, as needed.
- Enter data into USAPlants system for attendance of recertification meetings and annual renewal forms. Issues and prints updated certification cards and tri-folds and mails to businesses and individuals. Files all related documentation correctly.
- Provides telephone support for Pesticide and Environmental Programs by assisting callers to obtain additional or clarifying information when possible. Disseminates calls to the appropriate division of Pesticide and Environmental Programs and takes messages and forwards calls to voicemail when necessary.
- Provides other administrative support throughout the Pesticide and Environmental Programs as needed.
