Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a real impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school community near Fort Worth, TX. This full-time contract role offers rewarding opportunities to guide and inspire learners with diverse needs. Work schedule aligns with campus level: elementary campus hours run from 7:10 AM to 3:45 PM, and secondary campus from 7:40 AM to 4:15 PM (schedules may adjust slightly to support transportation coordination). Caseloads are assigned thoughtfully, taking into consideration both location and your experience.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas Teaching Certificate issued by SBEC, with all appropriate area certifications
- For positions beginning September 1, 2025: Special Education EC–12 certificate or eligibility under SBEC rules
- Thorough understanding of instructional and behavioral strategies for students with disabilities
- Passion for fostering growth in inclusive and specialized settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Experience working with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students with a range of disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEPs
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local special education requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
