Friendship and joy define our spirit; “Faith and Learning” is our motto. St. Andrew’s seeks a full‑time coordinator to lead and support the office of student affairs. Reporting directly to the dean of student affairs, the coordinator supports all facets of the student experience by providing executive support to the dean and his team. They serve as the primary point of contact to the office. This position requires in‑person office hours, usually from 8:00 am‑4:00 pm. The coordinator of the office of student affairs supports and promotes St. Andrew’s mission as it relates primarily to the faculty, staff, students, and their families through leadership and management of areas involving residential and student life. The coordinator will serve as a key member of the office of student affairs and, as such, must be present and visible in the St. Andrew’s community. The coordinator will be adept at identifying student patterns and providing details that enable the office of student affairs to work effectively within the school community. The ideal candidate will: enjoy working within a small, mission‑ and data‑driven educational community; have excellent judgment; anticipate and resolve challenges; demonstrate entrepreneurial vision where improvements are possible—particularly around opportunities where generative AI tools and emerging technologies can improve workflows and operational effectiveness; and possess exceptional written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to work independently to handle a variety of activities and matters with discretion. They must have the flexibility to work when required, including major school events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitoring class attendance and following up immediately if a student is missing. Maintaining files regarding student conduct, behavioral interventions, and the conduct marks system. Serve as parent liaison by triaging phone calls made to the office. Organizing the logistics for Saturday detentions, work detail, or other disciplinary consequences. Helping to draft and/or distribute certain school documents—examples may include the Handbook for Students and Families, Transportation Consent Form, and survey authorizations—and ensuring all relevant signatures have been gathered acknowledging school policies. Managing the data and/or assignments for student housing assignments, dorm duty coverage, afternoon activity assignment sign‑ups, dining table rotations, dining hall clean‑up, and distribution to dean of student affairs and others for approval, etc. Oversees the distribution and replacement of student ID cards. Assist as needed during emergent issues (support health center in home communications, as assigned for campus‑wide emergency situations). Manage all campus work orders on behalf of the office. Track the budget for the office and submit monthly expense reports as requested. Provide strategy and leadership in gathering and tracking data as requested. Manage the calendar for the office. Provide administrative support to form deans in execution of form programming. Database Leadership Manage relevant sections of Blackbaud student information system: Process the disciplinary (‘marks’) system and associated consequences. Process attendance. Promptly communicate marks thresholds. Maintain annual records. Assist in annual turnover of the database as necessary. Manage Reach boarding management system: Guarantee accuracy of all user data. Coordinate all student leaves to and from campus. Processing and verifying parental permissions for off‑campus trips and work closely with the transportation coordinator. Job Requirements At least three years’ experience as an operations manager, executive assistant or in a comparable position. Proven ability to multitask. Expert user of Google suite and Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent references regarding effectiveness, professionalism, and discretion. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience at a school or university. Experience with Blackbaud and/or Reach Boarding Management software. Demonstrated ability to thoughtfully integrate generative AI tools into administrative and operational workflows while exercising strong judgement, discretion, and attention to data privacy. #J-18808-Ljbffr National Association of Independent Schools
