Senior Payroll Analyst

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is committed to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful career opportunities. This is a hands-on role for a payroll professional experienced with complex payroll transactions, reconciliations, tax compliance, audits, and issue resolution.

Essential Functions

• Process and review high-volume, multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
• Manage reversals, voids, retroactive payments, overpayments, repayments, manual checks, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Review payroll inputs, adjustments, exception reports, and employee calculations for accuracy.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex payroll, tax, and employee pay issues.
• Perform payroll, tax, benefits, 401(k), deductions, garnishments, bank funding, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Audit payroll data and investigate discrepancies and data integrity issues.
• Support federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, Accounting, Compensation, and external vendors.
• Assist with payroll system testing, upgrades, automation, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• 58+ years of U.S. payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-state environment.
• Strong experience with complex payroll adjustments, reversals, voids, overpayments, and prior-period corrections.
• Hands-on payroll tax and reconciliation experience.
• UKG Pro experience strongly preferred.
• ADP SmartCompliance experience preferred.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, formulas, filtering, and large data sets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
