Operations/Service Manager

Position Overview As an Operations Service Manager at Burlington, you will be one of the leaders of the store team, participating in managing the overall operations of the store. You will serve as a role model for store associates, demonstrate and reinforce the company’s Core Values, develop trust and respect among peers and staff, build strong teams and partnerships, and drive business results. You’ll coach, train and develop a team of Cashiers, Customer Service Supervisors, Receiving team members and Receiving Supervisors while also overseeing business operations to ensure excellent customer service and the highest degree of professionalism. A Day In The Life Lead the Customer Service and Cashier teams, driving compliance to company policies and standards, safekeeping of company funds and property, asset protection, sales, and record‑keeping procedures. Provide guidance to the Customer Service Supervisors to ensure they meet customer service expectations and maintain smooth customer flow at the registers. Manage the overall execution of operations and receiving SOPs. Lead the overall receiving process, including transfers, debits, damages, and chargebacks, and partner with the Receiving Supervisor to maintain inventory accuracy. Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD), setting the leadership example for customers, associates, and ultimately driving store results. Support the Store Manager and others in staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning. Assist in the management of other store operations areas as needed. Communicate effectively with District and Regional Management teams. You’ll Come With 3+ years of Retail Management or Store Operations experience at an Off‑Price, Big Box, Specialty, or medium‑to‑large, multi‑unit retail organization. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software. Travel may be required from time to time. Benefits You will enjoy a competitive wage, flexible hours, and an associate discount.
