Overview of the Position:

• Location: UPMC Bayfront ENT
• Address: 380 East Bayfront Parkway, Erie, PA 16507
• Employment Status: Full-time role with potential for ENT Residency Directorship
• On-call Requirements: Every fourth night and weekend alongside current physicians. Residents will handle primary night calls and weekend duties.
• Visa Sponsorship: Open to J1 Waiver and H-1B candidates for 2027 and later

Key Responsibilities:

• Become part of a collaborative team with two board-certified otolaryngologists and one board-eligible otolaryngologist.
• Evaluate and manage a variety of ENT conditions, such as ear infections, hearing loss, sinusitis, allergies, voice disorders, and sleep apnea.
• Conduct surgical interventions related to ENT, including tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, septoplasties, and ear tube placements.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring residents from the ACGME accredited Otolaryngology residency program at UPMC Hamot, which includes five residents (who take primary night calls and weekend shifts).
• Utilize a fully integrated Epic electronic medical record system throughout the health network.
• Benefit from a strong primary care referral network that ensures a steady patient volume and continuity of care.
• Work in proximity to regional clinics as required.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO from a recognized medical institution
• Completion of an accredited ENT residency program
• American Board Eligible or Certified in Otolaryngology
• Capability to secure an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and obtain necessary credentials
• DEA certification
