This is a hands-on role with responsibilities that include financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate is proactive, process-oriented, and committed to driving continuous improvements while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesOwn assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate completion and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, supported by appropriate documentation.Perform balance sheet reconciliations over assigned areas, including analysis of reconciling items and timely resolution of outstanding issues.Analyze financial results and prepare variance analyses to support management reporting.Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and related disclosures.Support external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.Maintain effective internal controls and ensure adherence to established accounting policies and procedures.Lead initiatives to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency through automation, AI-enabled tools, and scalable solutions.Drive continuous process improvements by leveraging automation, AI-enabled tools, and workflow enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the accounting function.Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, AP, Legal, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of accounting processes.Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4, is preferred.Experience in consumer products, retail, apparel, or eCommerce environments is a plus.ASC 842 lease accounting experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of US GAAP.Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting processes.Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership, prioritize competing deadlines, and drive projects to completion.The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
