Physical Therapist - School Setting in Fayetteville, NC

Step into a rewarding school-based contract role providing essential physical therapy services to a diverse student population. This opportunity offers an engaging blend of summer Extended School Year (ESY) and full-time school year hours, supporting students from Pre-K through high school across multiple nearby campuses. As part of a collaborative PT/PTA team, you'll serve a caseload of approximately 50 students, ensuring meaningful interventions in an educational setting.


Your schedule for ESY will be Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am - 12:30 pm, from July 8 to July 30, 2026. The full-time position runs August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm (35 hours per week). Mileage reimbursement is provided when traveling between schools, and care will be taken to keep your assigned sites conveniently located.


Key qualifications for success:

• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Experience or strong interest in working in a school setting, with all grade levels
• Willingness to be fingerprinted to support Pre-K students (required)
• Familiarity with early intervention or TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) a plus, though not required
• Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered therapy practices
• Flexibility and strong communication skills to adapt to changing environments and needs

• Deliver therapy services that support educational goals and student independence
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with teachers and other school staff
