Accounts Payable Specialist

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Boca Raton, FL (Fully Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $60,000 - $65,000K Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume accounts payable processing within a large corporate or public company environment. This individual will play a key role in managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and payments, supporting month‑end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Initiate and monitor invoice approval workflows. Perform 2‑way and 3‑way invoice matching. Maintain vendor master records, onboarding documentation, and contracts. Process ACH payments and check runs. Prepare payment batches for management approval. Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and supporting documentation. Assist with monthly close activities and annual audits. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries. Maintain accurate records within ERP/accounting systems. Support process improvements and internal control initiatives. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience. Experience working in a public company or large corporate environment. Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice matching, and payment processing. Proficiency with ERP/Accounting systems. Advanced MS Excel and Outlook skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
