Traveling Executive Chef

The Traveling Executive Chef is responsible for leading a team and efficiently overseeing culinary, and operational functions, within the guidelines established by the client organization, health department, state regulations, as well as Guckenheimer's standards and expectations. He/She/They is the brand representative of Guckenheimer/ISS for the team and for the client.

Success criteria include monitoring and ensuring kitchen organization and cleanliness, workplace safety, food safety, menu guidelines, accurate product labeling, HACCP guidelines, internal audit guidelines, consistent passing scores on internal audits, and immediate corrective actions for non-compliance.

Ideal candidate experience includes a Culinary Arts degree, 3+ years of culinary experience in a similar volume food service establishment, food service training with experience in food preparation techniques according to HACCP processes and recommendations, understanding of restaurant merchandising and marketing, and effective communication skills.

Key accountabilities include overseeing purchasing, preparation, and execution of high-quality, cost-effective food service, hiring, training, and scheduling staff, preparing and maintaining accurate accounting and financial records, maintaining sanitary and safe operation in accordance with health regulations, representing the company in a courteous manner, and engaging with customers to make changes to better meet their needs.

Physical demands and work environment include working up to 8 hours a day on your feet, lifting a minimum of 25 pounds, adhering to the dress code, working under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods, 75% travel expectations, and possessing a valid state driver's license.

HSEQ compliance requires adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies and procedures, participation in HSEQ training, and reporting any potential hazards or compliance concerns.

The annual salary range for this position is $90150.00 - $105000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
