United Standard Industries, Inc. (USI) is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist specializing in multitasking and Swiss CNC machines to join our precision manufacturing team in Glenview, Illinois.

We are looking for a skilled, dependable machinist who can independently set up, troubleshoot, and operate advanced CNC equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC multitasking and Swiss-type machines.

• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups and processes.

• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.

• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent part quality.

• Perform deburring and other finishing operations as necessary.

• Assist with CNC programming and program modifications using ESPRIT and SolidWorks.

• Work closely with production and quality personnel to maintain efficient manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience setting up Swiss-type CNC machines or multitasking CNC machines .

• Ability to independently set up and troubleshoot CNC equipment

• Strong blueprint-reading and precision measurement skills.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, machine offsets, and machining processes.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

•  

• Experience with ESPRIT CAM software and SolidWorks.

• Experience machining close-tolerance precision components.

• Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing requirements.

• Experience improving machining processes and reducing setup times.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $30.00–$45.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
