Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients, following established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens with patient initials and signatures post-venipuncture.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and patient information.
• Create a trustworthy environment by explaining procedures clearly and demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality.
• Travel between multiple sites as needed, ensuring timely coverage and punctuality at each location.
• Adhere to safety policies, dress code, and workplace standards to promote a professional environment.
• Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting efficiently and accurately.
• Participate in training and coaching opportunities to uphold process excellence and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Proven phlebotomy skills with 1-3 years of experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to build trust with patients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver license with a clean driving record, capable of traveling between sites.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must be punctual and dependable, with a strong commitment to attendance.
• Own reliable transportation for travel between multiple sites; mileage can be submitted for expense reimbursement.
