LPN

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care as directed by a Registered Nurse within a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include gathering and reporting patient data, carrying out medical orders, and performing therapeutic procedures tailored to the patient population. The role demands adherence to established policies and procedures to ensure quality care and patient safety. Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Gather and report patient data accurately and timely.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures appropriate to patient needs and age.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to provide nursing care in accordance with established standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
• Comfort and experience working with ventilators, tracheostomies, and PICC lines.
• Two years of direct patient care experience.

• Work within a long-term care environment requiring sensitivity to chronic conditions and patient longevity.
• Adherence to facility policies and procedures specific to long-term care settings.

• Schedules may vary based on facility needs; may include day, evening, or night shifts.
• Shift assignments determined by management to ensure adequate patient coverage.
