Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to design and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.

• Educate and guide clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously, revising treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care tailored to each client's needs.

• Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client records following all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and contribute to reducing stigmatization around mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including individuals facing homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, providing crucial support and interventions that can significantly alter their life trajectories.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
