Reporting to the Executive Director, the Retention Officer is responsible for promptly contacting those students who may be dropout candidates to implement those processes that will prevent their loss.
- Maintains daily and direct contact with teachers to identify students with truancy problems, missing students or students with any other situation that prevents them from continuing their studies.
- Maintains a statistical record of reported cases for proper follow up.
- Maintains daily contact with the Guidance and Registration Department to evaluate the academic progress of students and thus anticipate situations in order to establish solutions or strategies.
- Promotes retention activities (co-curricular and extracurricular).
- Monitors daily the "Campus Vue” system to establish comparisons with faculty benchmarks.
- Submits list of faculty who do not comply with the daily reporting policy to the Program Coordinator, Academic Director and Campus Director.
- Minimum completed Associate's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Worker or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the withholding area.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office.
