Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
• Design individualized therapy plans that cater to immediate needs while also setting the stage for long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver engaging and focused one-on-one therapy sessions centered on communication enhancement, language skills, fluency, vocal therapy, and swallowing difficulties.
• Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and their families, empowering them to support therapeutic outcomes outside of the clinical environment.
• Manage sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment progression.
• Uphold precise and prompt documentation following state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Pursue continuous improvement by engaging in professional development and recognizing advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
