Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both objective measures and observational techniques.
• Formulate tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language arts, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support therapeutic progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Contribute to inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Keep precise and timely records in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through educational resources and knowledge-sharing with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
