Location: Perth Metropolitan Area Unit/Division: East Metropolitan Health Service » Patient Support Services Work Type: Casual, Fixed Term – Full Time; Fixed Term – Part Time; Permanent – Full Time; Permanent – Part Time About the Opportunity As a Patient Support Services Supervisor, you will provide supervision across a range of occupational groups within Patient Support Services operating 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. You will lead and support staff, ensure high standards of customer service, and contribute to the ongoing development of a capable and responsive workforce across clinical and non‑clinical areas. About You You are an experienced supervisor with strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead and support a diverse team. You are organised, confident managing rosters and daily operations, and committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused services. You bring a practical, hands‑on approach, with a sound understanding of workplace safety, equity and performance management, and a commitment to fostering a respectful and supportive team environment. Responsibilities Supervise multidisciplinary teams across patient support services; manage daily operations and rota scheduling; ensure compliance with legislative obligations for Equality, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health; maintain high standards of customer service and continuous improvement; support staff development and wellbeing. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience supervising and leading a diverse workforce in a large organisation Well‑developed oral and written communication skills Well‑developed interpersonal and negotiation skills Sound knowledge of PC‑based Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to prepare and coordinate complex rosters for large numbers of staff Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery Eligibility and Equality To be eligible for a fixed‑term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
