Logistics Coordinator

Hosokawa provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of international and domestic shipments in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for preparing export and domestic documentation, collaborating with freight forwarders and developing efficient shipping procedures to ensure accurate and timely shipment of goods. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties

• Manage and coordinate shipments with personnel, clients and sister business units, ensuring compliance with all regulations and freight requirements.
• Serves as primary point of contact for shipment inquiries, issues and updates to internal and external customers. Prepare reports as requested by management.
• Prepare and review export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin ensuring all documentation complies with international trade regulations and standards.
• Work closely with freight forwarders to facilitate the import and export of goods, providing detailed shipping instructions and monitoring shipment progress to ensure timely deliveries.
• Additional tasks assigned by management to support the Aftermarket Services team.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and shipping management software
• 2+ years' direct experience coordinating domestic and international shipments
• 2+ years' direct experience with international shipping regulations, Incoterms and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years' direct experience with international shipping regulations, Incoterms and compliance requirements.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English), a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended times while performing work tasks

Salary/Rate Range:

* $43,758 -$70,610

Salaries/Rates will vary and may be above or below this rate commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
