Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher license
• All certifications required by the state and school district
• Previous experience in a special education setting preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in alignment with state and district standards
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and other professionals to support student success
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and support staff regarding student development and needs
• Provide direct instruction and resource support within the classroom setting
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
