Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | Part-Time | Approximately 30–35 hours per week, scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily customer check deposits and accurately apply payments within the accounting system.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including payment posting, daily reporting, and collection follow-up.
• Process accounts payable and operating invoices in accordance with company procedures and internal controls.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable inboxes, responding to inquiries and completing follow-up activities.
• Assist customers with billing questions and payment-related concerns.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and prepare supporting documentation for Senior Accountant review and approval.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and other assigned accounting activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal staff by phone and email.
• Support accounting and finance operations across multiple SMG locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with enterprise accounting software; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Valid driver's license required.

Work Schedule

• Part-time, approximately 30–35 hours per week.
• Monday–Friday, in-office position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
• Hours scheduled within normal business operations of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Non-exempt position; overtime requires prior supervisor authorization.
