Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health to formulate individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing specific needs and goals.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Collaborate with colleagues during team meetings, supervision sessions, and one-on-one discussions with clinical supervisors to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to client care.

• Monitor and evaluate each client’s progress regularly, adjusting treatment goals and strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to ethical standards in mental health practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training, staying informed about emerging trends and research in the field of mental health and trauma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve at the Social Trauma Therapy Center encompass a wide range of demographics and backgrounds, including individuals grappling with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and relational difficulties. Special emphasis is placed on inclusivity; we welcome clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation backgrounds, including underrepresented communities. Your expertise will be critical in building trust and connection with these clients, empowering them to take actionable steps toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• Active and unrestricted state-issued LMFT licensure.
\n
• At least two years of full-time counseling experience with demonstrated success in individual and family therapy.

• Experience working with a diverse population, including couples, children, teenagers, and families, is preferred.
\n
• Proficiency in incorporating culturally responsive practices and supports for clients of color and LGBTQIA individuals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous engagement in a trauma-informed care setting is a plus.

• Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions is desirable.

• Knowledge of community resources and referral networks in and around Joliet, Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits\n
